We provide a platform for cultural learning, civic engagement, and leadership development to ensure that the voices and stories of our community are heard, valued, and celebrated. We honor the stories of courage, resilience, and hope that define our community and ensure that our collective history is never forgotten.

About The Vietnamese American Heritage Society

The Vietnamese American Heritage Society (VAHS) was founded in 2021 by Annikha Nguyen as a school project. Since that time the site has gained recognition, popularity, and support from local groups and organizations. Our mission is to promote and preserve the cultural legacy of Vietnamese Americans through documentation, community building, and educational programming. Our core initiatives include:

Oral History Project
We collect and archive the personal stories of Vietnamese Americans, ensuring their invaluable experiences are preserved for posterity.

Cultural Exhibitions
We organize events and exhibits showcasing Vietnamese art, music, and traditions to promote cultural appreciation within the wider community.

Youth Mentorship Program
We provide mentorship and leadership opportunities for young Vietnamese Americans, fostering the next generation of community leaders.

Community Festivals
Our annual festival, which attracts thousands of attendees, celebrates Vietnamese culture and serves as a vital gathering point for our community.

VAHS is committed to bridging the gap between generations, honoring the legacy of those who came before us, and creating a strong, supportive community for all Vietnamese Americans.

The journey of Vietnamese Americans is one of resilience, hope, and an unwavering commitment to freedom. The Vietnamese American Heritage Society (VAHS) was born from this story. Founded by individuals who, like many of our community members, came to the United States seeking a better life, VAHS serves as a tribute to that courageous journey. We are dedicated to creating a space where our stories can be told, our heritage can be celebrated, and our community can thrive. VAHS is more than an organization; it is a promise to our ancestors and a gift to our children, ensuring that our roots will always run deep, no matter where we are in the world.

About Annikha

Annikha Nguyen is the founder of the VAHS.
